Polestar was the fastest growing brand in the UK in the year to August showing growth of 186%.
It was followed by Genesis which almost doubled sales, up 121% in the first eight months of the year, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT).
Another EV brand MG was in fifth slot showing growth of 66% for the eight month period while Tesla was in eighth position with sales up 49.7% for the eight month period.
At the other end of the table the Mercedes-Benz owned smart brand was the worst performer in the eight month period with sales down 73.7%.
Stellantis brands struggled with Abarth sales down 60.1% for the eight month period, followed by Fiat (-17.1%), DS (-15.1%) and Alfa Romeo (-7.7%).
Mercedes-Benz was seventh lowest in the table with sales down 5.2% for the year to date. The overall market was up 20% in the year to August, driven by fleet sales.
